DataLense

Healthcare commercial intelligence. Where the next site should go, who is already there, and what the population around it actually needs, before the capital is committed.

The wrong site is the most expensive mistake in the sector

Site selection in independent healthcare is usually decided on instinct, a rent quote and whatever someone already knows about the town. The data to do it properly exists but sits across CQC registers, ONS census tables, deprivation indices, waiting-time publications and workforce returns, in different geographies and on different update cycles.

DataLense answers it at the level a commercial decision is actually made: a drivetime catchment around a postcode.

Return: capital committed with evidence, and protected from the location that would have quietly under-performed for a decade.
What you get

Four things in every dossier.

  • A catchment, not a radius. Real drivetime isochrones, so the analysis reflects how people would genuinely travel to the site.
  • A market score across twelve dimensions in four groups, weighted by the profile that matches the service you are planning.
  • A population health profile: how the neighbourhood deviates from a national sample of comparison catchments, ranked, with no invented composite index.
  • A shareable dossier covering provider landscape through to workforce, sent as a time-limited link rather than a PDF that leaks.

We would rather say nothing than say something wrong

Every figure in a DataLense dossier carries a coverage status. If the routing service cannot resolve a catchment, the polygon-derived numbers come back empty with the reason attached, while postcode-level data still resolves. You get a partial answer that knows it is partial, which is the only kind worth committing capital against.

The same discipline applies to language. The national comparison set is a sample of 200 catchments drawn across England, and the copy says exactly that. It does not claim "representative", because the sample is not stratified. When it is, the wording changes.
